I love creating mosaics more than any other art form.
I don't do many, though. The process slices the crap
outta my hands,* so my DNA is incorporated into
every single one (TMI, right?). And, shards end up everywhere.
* Yes, I've tried gloves, but it's impossible to place tiny tiles precisely whilst wearing them.
I often paint acrylic portraits of cats who've gone to The Bridge.
My substrate of choice is a 6" or 8" square gallery-wrapped canvas
with a 1" or 1-1/2" drop on the sides. Here are just a few...

Then they were scanned and backgrounds were added digitally.
